Did you know that in 2013 Zebra Pen started its efforts to work with non-profit organizations that focused on the conservation of animals?
Zebra Pen has a diverse and multicultural team with business partnerships that span the globe. We strive to foster an acceptance of diversity and inclusion within our company and amongst our external relationships. We are committed to supporting organizations that share this philosophy.
One of which is Grevy’s Zebra Trust (GZT). Founded in 2007, it is the only organization in the world that’s sole purpose is to protect the endangered species Grevy’s zebra. Located in Kenya, GZT focuses its efforts on making sure that the environment is sustainable for the zebras and the people of the area. GZT also collects data and uses that information to make the best decisions for the zebras. They work with local individuals to also assess the conditions in Kenya.
In addition to protecting these animals, they also seek to grow the Grevy’s zebra population. According to their official website, they are improving their understanding of the drivers of population change through monitoring demographic parameters that include survival and mortality. They are also investigating the ecological and social factors affecting these variables to better target their conservation interventions.
While we work to create the best products for you as our consumers, we also want to highlight our continued presence with who we partner with in our efforts to make the world a better place. Sustainability and conservation are key elements in why we choose to partner with these organizations.
We also strive to build relationships with suppliers whose Social Responsibility goals and activities are aligned with our expectations, implement and/or expand environmentally sustainable management and business practices, and develop and enhance products and services that provide social and environmental options for our customers and prospects.
At Zebra Pen, we will consistently base all our actions on sustainability principles to protect our planet and future.
